Welcome...

You have already taken the first step towards seeking help.

Changing your life and how you think, behave and feel can appear difficult.  However, lifelong change can be achieved. With the right help and support, and with your motivation, you can make changes now and have the tools and approaches that you can continue to use to manage any future challenges.

What is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy?

Cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) is a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with clinical hypnotherapy.   The approaches of both therapies are proven to provide successful outcomes; however, clinical research has shown that the combination of the approaches results in even greater outcomes for clients.

CBH is recognised as safe and effective.  The therapy uses a powerful set of tools and therapeutic approaches to support clients to become clear of, or ‘unstuck’ from, a broad range of conditions or issues. Many people struggle with issues and conditions that can be successfully addressed and supported using CBH.  These range from anxieties, insomnia and habits (such as smoking) and chronic pain to specific conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

My approach and the tools I use are evidence-based.  That is, that the treatment plans I design with the individual client will use proven therapeutic techniques.  For most treatments, only four - six sessions are required to support lasting change.

So, what next?  A FREE, confidential, initial telephone consultation can be arranged to discuss any questions you may have about your individual situation and the therapeutic approach we might take, your suitability for CBH and any general questions you may have about hypnotherapy.  The telephone consultation generally lasts approximately 20 minutes (this can be arranged at a time that is convenient for you).  During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to book your first face-to-face treatment session.
